Who We Are

Founded in January 2025, Mustaqbal (Arabic for “Future”) Dallas Dabke Group is the revival of a cultural legacy that began in 1999 with the original Mustaqbal Group, founded by Mohammed Sharif. That original group later became Bedaweya in 2012 before becoming inactive in 2023.

Now reborn for a new generation, the new Mustaqbal was launched in 2025 and is led by Singer, Songwriter, and Dabke Dancer Aladeen Alhayek, who brought the group back with a clear vision: to carry Palestinian heritage forward while sharing the beauty of Middle Eastern culture with the world.

Mustaqbal exists to celebrate, preserve, and elevate Palestinian folklore through powerful live performances that blend tradition with energy, pride, and modern presentation. From weddings and zaffes to festivals and cultural events, the group brings authenticity, excellence, and heart to every stage they touch.

Mustaqbal is made up of veteran performers from multiple generations alongside rising young performers, reflecting the group’s core message: culture is not meant to stay in the past, it is meant to move forward. Every stomp, clap, and song carries the stories of those who came before, passed on to those who will carry them into the future.

What We Perform

Mustaqbal delivers a full folkloric experience rooted in Palestinian and traditions as well as levatine and middle eastern traditions:

Dabke
The iconic Palestinian folk dance known for its strong footwork, unity, and celebration, performed with precision, passion, and crowd-moving energy and popular in other Middle Eastern countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, etc.

Zaffe
A powerful traditional procession that brings the bride and groom into the venue, with some zaffes out of their home with a compliation of folkloric singing and drumming.

Dahiya
A fast-paced, call-and-response clapping tradition that electrifies the audience and turns every event into a shared celebration.

Live Folkloric Music
Performed by Aladeen and featuring live traditional and folkloric songs with accompanying musicians creating an immersive cultural experience.
